At Seagrave Village Primary, we deliver our French curriculum using the Kapow Primary scheme of work, which is designed to inspire a love of language learning and foster cultural awareness. This spiral curriculum ensures that key skills such as speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar are revisited and developed with increasing complexity as pupils progress through Key Stage 2. Through engaging lessons that include role-play, games, and cross-curricular links, children build confidence in using French for practical purposes while developing their understanding of French culture. By focusing on language detective skills and grammar, the curriculum equips pupils with a strong foundation for future language learning at secondary school and beyond.
