At Seagrave Village Primary School, our Design Technology curriculum is designed to foster creativity, technical skills, and practical expertise. We aim to equip pupils with the knowledge and understanding necessary to design and make innovative products that address real-world challenges.
Our STRIDE curriculum emphasises developing a range of Design and Technology-specific skills, including textiles, mechanisms, structures, and food technology.
Pupils will learn to critique, evaluate, and test their ideas and products, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving. By integrating key vocabulary, oracy skills, and cultural awareness, we encourage pupils to appreciate the historical and aesthetic influences on design.
